It depends on the situation. Our primary investment strategy is “value-add” so we often buy houses that need renovation work and are underutilized. We will add additional functionality such as more bedrooms, add units such as ADU’s or mother-in-law units, or turn oversized lots into duplexes. We keep some properties as rentals and re-sell some to other investor partners. We understand the housing shortage in the Triangle so are interested in adding more affordable housing supply to alleviate the pressure on middle and low income families.
