Great Experience It’s a rare occurrence when a transaction exceeds one’s expectations. This is the case with the recent sale of our home to Green Street Home Buyers. We received a fair price for our home (supported by comps)when considering the following: They covered all the closing costs including those usually paid by the seller, we paid no real estate commission, there were no financing contingencies attached to the sale, we didn’t have to make any repairs or renovations whatsoever, and we saved holding costs associated with renovating then listing our home. We could have hired contractors, renovated, listed, and sold the home and would have ended up with the same bottom line 6 months to a year from now. Plus, there is a value to them assuming the risk of what the real estate market will do in the future. Every step of the process was easy and completely transparent. They did exactly what they said they would do when they said they would do it. Kai, Tom, Conner, Michelle and her backup person, and attorney Steve Lowry made our transaction so easy. My stepfather passed away last fall and my mother (who is in a nursing facility) was left with five rental properties that she could not maintain. Her care is very expensive so I sought out a company that was willing to purchase these properties so she would have some income for her long-term care and also so she would be no longer legally liable. I approached Green Street about buying all five houses and they were willing to help us. We signed a purchase agreement in April, but we did not begin the closing of the houses until July. This is the only reason I have withheld a star. The property management company was not notified until late May to notify the tenants that they would need to vacate. I am not sure why it took so long, but eventually everything worked out. Green Street purchased the houses at the prices they originally proposed, no closing costs were deducted and we were able to close long-distance. My mother and I are truly grateful for their help.
